This Weekend at Kirby’s Beer Store: Live Music & Halloween Edition of Blank Night

This Friday, October 25, Kirby’s Beer Store is hosting an exciting lineup of indie, punk, folk, and alternative acts. Get ready for a night of diverse sounds with performances from some of the best regional and local talent.

The show kicks off at 9 PM, and, as always, there’s no cover charge. Dead Shoes will be performing, fronted by Kirby’s own Seth Bowles, bringing their loud indie rock sound. Also performing are Lawrence, Kansas’ theater-punk act Something & the Whatevers, who are known for their humorous yet hard-hitting songs. Wichita’s Hazy will add their Midwest indie-emo sound to the mix, while Oklahoma City’s Donovan Funk will provide some soft rock and introspective lyricism. Finally, Joan Jacob Jellyhands, a folk duo from Lawrence, Kansas, will bring a more intimate sound to round out the evening.

On Saturday, October 26, it’s time for one of Kirby’s most popular monthly events—Blank Night—with a special twist for Halloween weekend. Known for its goth, darkwave, and dark EDM playlists, Blank Night will have you dancing through the night to a soundtrack of classic and modern gothic music.

DJs Act of Contrition and Lady Hylle will be spinning the best of dark electronic and goth tunes, making this the perfect event to dive into the Halloween spirit. Whether you’ve been a regular at Blank Night or are attending for the first time, this Halloween edition promises to be something special. Dress in your best gothic attire or come as you are, and enjoy a night of immersive music and dancing. No cover, and the energy of Kirby’s makes this a night you won’t want to miss.
